We are proud to share that the BINX Smartility team has been selected by the Dutch Government Real Estate Agency (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf) for the UAV-GC contract for the transformation of the Avenue Céramique Government Office in Maastricht into a circular and future-proof government building.

The design vision Pocket Park Céramique, developed by Hollandse Nieuwe, studio PROTOTYPE and landscape architects Makers Of Sustainable Spaces, unfolds as a network of green meeting places that connect the urban surroundings, the lush atrium, and the rooftop gardens. These green pocket parks serve as carriers of well-being, biodiversity, and social interaction, transforming the square-shaped building by Hubert-Jan Henket from 1998 into a vibrant, future-ready workplace.

Through the integration of pocket parks, light, air, and life are brought deep into the building, with the atrium as the beating heart of the integrated design vision. At the core of the approach is a radically circular and green strategy: maximum reuse of existing materials, new additions executed in bio-based materials, and a building structure that allows the office floors to be sustainably and flexibly arranged for the future. In this way, approximately 16,000 m² of office space will be transformed into a healthy, adaptive, and inspiring working environment.
The completion of the renovated building is scheduled for 2028.
